The Heritage Crafts Association is a registered UK charity set up to support and promote traditional crafts. The stated aims are "The Heritage Crafts Association is the advocacy body for traditional heritage crafts. Working in partnership with Government and key agencies, it provides a focus for craftspeople, groups, societies and guilds, as well as individuals who care about the loss of traditional crafts skills, and works towards a healthy and sustainable framework for the future." The Charity was launched at the V&A in March 2010.[1] with a friends scheme for supporters.[2]
Even before the official launch HCA was making waves in Westminster initiating a 30 minute adjournment debate on the state of traditional crafts in June 2009[3]
